Dognappers attack woman, 60, from behind and speed off with her Staffie in van #PetTheftReform

Date

The woman was “violently” shoved to the floor and her dog Archie was grabbed from her while she was out for her usual walk in Tower Hamlets, east London, a friend says

The woman was walking her ten-year-old rescue dog Archie in Tower Hamlets, east London, when she was “violently” shoved to the floor in broad daylight.

One of the men unclipped the dog’s lead, picked it up and then placed it in a van before the “stocky” pair drove off, leaving her in pain and distraught on the floor, the friend said.

The traumatised dog owner spent all night walking the streets in search of her dog, who is still missing, and was so disturbed by the attack and desperate to reunite with her pet that she was still “shaking violently” 24 hours on.

“She is not eating or drinking from what I can see. All she wants is Archie home.”
